Israel Singer, world-famous cantor and star singer of New York’s Jewish theater scene. With thirty-five years of experience, he’s been the beloved cantor at Temple Emanu-El of Closter, New Jersey, for many years, bringing soul-stirring prayer and power to the community. Originally from Israel, he started as a soloist with the prestigious Israeli Defense Forces Choir, then shone in the Great Synagogues of Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan, as well as a guest cantor at Jerusalem’s Great Synagogue.
He’s performed on big stages across Israel, Europe, the U.S., and Canada—including Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Lyric Opera productions, New York Jewish Theater shows, and massive crowds of around 20,000 people at Gan Sacker in Jerusalem. His concerts light up venues throughout the United States and Israel, blending traditional cantorial music with Broadway, opera, Israeli songs, and more.
He’s released albums like “In Your Name,” “The Angel’s Dance,” and “Call The Shabbat A Delight,” and he’s known for his versatile, heartfelt style that fuses old-world depth with modern energy, creating unique, timeless melodies that move hearts instantly.
